Forcing students to wear school uniform? Some school mandated to wear school uniform because they believe, it helps to improve learning of the students and decreasing the influence of gangs. (Durant, 2013) People believe that the learning of the students came from knowledge they learned, not in the uniform they’re wearing. It is not good to force a studentto wear a school uniform. What if his/her parents can’t buy it? What if he/she can’t afford it? You can’t blame them from that situation. Because many people want to buy first their personal needs. Like foods, rent to their house, and bills ect. Should school governance force a student to wear school uniform?
There are some good and bad sides of wearing school uniform. Some of this are; school uniform is a tool that can improve academic achievementa and dicipline students. When wearing a school uniform, a student can concentrate his/her attention on discussion and not on comparing his/her outfit with the clothes or others. When you have a uniform, you will not need to spend your time on looking for the suitable outfit everyday. Implementing one type of school uniform will help the school authorities to support the equality among the students. Having similar clothes will also prevent students from teasing each other. Same clothing will contibute to the team building and feeling of dignity for being the students of a certain educational institution. In contrary, wearing school uniform restricts students self-expression and freedom of choice. Accepting same dress code for everyone means leaving them without the opportunity to choose what they would prefer to wear. And it just wasting of money in buying it.

There isn’t enough evidence that mandating school uniform does great things for the school or the student within the school. It also forces parent to buy school uniforms. And the academic success doesn’t range in what the student wear, but in what they learn with or without school uniforms. According to Leslie Durant (2013), school uniforms do not serve the purposes they are meant to serve and thus should not be required.
