There I would not for the world

There are many types of love demonstrated in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. Both of the star crossed lovers took part in a heartfelt, dignified love. “My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.”
“For saints have hands that pilgrims’ hands do touch, And palm to palm is holy palmers’ kiss.”
“O, then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do.” That was a part of the interaction they had at the masquerade when they first laid eyes on each other. Although it appears that Romeo and Juliet share a true wholehearted love, they do seem rushed in making their relationship more intimate. The two can not seem to keep their hands off each other. The second they split they immediately feel the need to be with the other again. After the masquerade Romeo ditches his friends to go see Juliet who is seen speaking to herself on her balcony about him. Romeo annonces himself and she goes on saying ” I would not for the world they saw thee here.” Showing that she was already love sick even though they had just met not long before. She portrayed this by telling Romeo “If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully. Or is thou think’st I am too quickly won, I’ll frown and be perverse and say thee nay, So thou wilt woo. But else, not for the world.” Telling Romeo she would play hard to get if that would satisfy him. Causing him to love her. In less than a day of knowing each other these two lovers fell so hard for each other. What this suggests is that, this is not true love. This is simply two teenagers that saw each other at a party, had a small conversation later thinking that they were both truly meant to be together. “Call this a lightning? O my love, my wife! Death, that hath sucked the honey of thy breath, Hath had no power yet upon thy beauty” Romeo said as he was standing over his wife’s body in the tomb. This shows how they saw rushing into this relationship as true love,When in reality if they both went for someone of the same family, their lives could have had an enjoyable future.
Another type of love shown in the story is unrequited and lustful love. During the beginning of the play Romeo is strangely lovesick for Rosaline. ‘I’ll go along, no such sight to be shown” Romeo says in response to Benvolio asking him to go to the party Lord Capulet was hosting. Romeo says he’ll go but, only ” to rejoice in a splendor of my own.” Referring to Rosaline. He enters the party on a search for Rosaline but his attention gets thrown to Juliet and he immediately thinks that he has fallen in love. This shows how it seems that Romeo only wanted Rosaline for her looks, because if he really loved her he would not have been able to switch to Juliet so fast. Paris is so sure that he and Juliet are meant to be. So sure that he continuously fails to take the small hint of her putting him down all the time. In Friar Lawrence’s cell he and Juliet met for a second. Paris knows that Juliet was there to confess to the Friar so he tells her, “Do not deny to him that you love me.” Juliet responds ” I will confess to you that I love him.” I believe she was referring to Romeo. Paris being as lovesick as he is for her said,
“So will you, I am sure, that you love me.
