I will communicate clearly and ensure my intent is understood. Leaders who communicate well are also more likely to become good problem solvers. Through the tools in this class, I will focus on creating a dialogue and check for understanding. I will actively create dialogues that establishing understanding and spread skills and knowledge. I will actively listen and think divergently and understand before responding.
Soliciting feedback regularly from the team and senior leaders in the organization. To be successful I need constructive criticism as well as praise. In the past, I have been scared to give feedback to people avoiding conflicts or awkward conversations. Upward feedback is beneficial, it establishes trust between the team. I will solicit, provide and accept feedback, and create a comfortable environment of ownership and honest feedback.
