At first it was considered 12.5hours per week but later it was raised at 15 hours per week – 38 weeks per year. The establishments that have EYFS – are structured the same way as the schools – they have the staff hierarchy with all the requirements done as well. Usually the Nursery are on school grounds, Nursery classes can be done in schools or academies and they are attached to primary school, but there are some establishments that are made solely for the early educations only. The common program is from 8:00AM to 6:00PM and is not flexible even if the parents are working during weekends as well or in shifts. For these kind of situation is recommended to have a babysitter.
