The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is a realistic fiction novel about acceptance

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is a realistic fiction novel about acceptance, and loyalty. The novel takes place in Kabul and America in recent times. The Kite Runner is about two motherless boys who create lifelong memories together and go through many betrayals. These betrayals highlights how Baba and Amir are more similar than different. In these betrayals, they both try to redeem themselves in efforts to compensate for their unforgivable actions. Hosseini uses their betrayals to illustrate the importance of redeeming one’s self through being courageous and standing up for what one believes in instead of being cowardly and letting the guilt consume one.
