The conventional name of Pakistan is Islamic Republic of Pakistan .Its short form is Pakistan .Its local form is Jamhuryat Islamic Pakistan and formerly it was known as West Pakistan. The word pak means clear in Persian while stan means land, so the word “Pakistan” means “Pure Place”.

Pakistan is a source of transit and destination country for men, women and children subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking, the largest human trafficking problem is bounded labor in agriculture and to lesser extent fishing, mining and carpet making . Women and girls are forced into prostitution or marriages. Pakistan adults migrate to gulf state and African and European states for low skilled jobs and sometimes becomes victims of forced labor.
