For instance, one year after Cunxin left Qingdao, he is making his return to visit his family and friends. His results that year from Beijing Dance academy was near the bottom level. When he returned home, his Dia didn’t say anything regarding his poor grades, but he encourages his son by giving him a pen as a gift instead. It is to remind and encourage him that every time he is going to use it, the expectation they have for him to work harder and to achieve better results in the following year.
With that pen, it changes Cunxin mind set to work harder and acquire a better result for his parents to be proud of. His Dia didn’t blame nor accuse him but yet encourage him to do better. Billy on the other hand, had struggle so much while trying to get his family to understand and support his passion for ballet.
At the end Jackie is able to realize his son potential after seeing how he could perform flawlessly. He then tried to get money so that to send his son, Billy. He even tries to quit strike and go back to work and said, “Billy had made himself a genius for all we know.” After Jackie acknowledge his son passion, he was able to mange to send Billy to the audition sacrificing his wife’s jewellery that has sentimental values to him. The support of family can lead us to many possibilities in which we have never thought of.
Having family support can be compared to as having one of the major key towards the success in life.Obstacles, perseverance and family support, all of these concepts contribute to our success. Without these traits, we may find it hard to achieve our ultimate goal. By going through obstacles, persevering through hardship and receiving the support from our family can then one achieve their dreams.
