The religion of Islam mainly spread through the Muslim conquests in the middle east. Through these conquests, middle eastern countries like Iraq and Egypt were captured.European countries like Spain were also captured. In this way the religion of Islam diversified over the years. Before Muhammad’s teachings Islam was a polytheistic religion but Muhammad reinforced monotheism in the Islamic world. Many social changes happened between the period of 610 and 66.
During this period of time, women began to get more rights in social spheres such as education and jobs. After the death of muhammad, many people started to convert to Islam. This led to conflicts of power among who was to be the leader. Mosques and educational centres were set up throughout the Muslim regions of the world.
Arabic remained to be the language of religion, philosophy and muslim law whereas the Persian language became the language of literature and poetry.
