STUDY PLAN Academic and Professional Background

STUDY PLAN
Academic and Professional Background:
I completed my undergraduate studies in Banking and Finance from African University College of Communications, Accra-Ghana, in May 2017, with a CGPA of 3.90 out of 4.00. I was awarded the 2017 AUCC Best Student in Banking and Finance. Also, I was an active student among my others during my undergraduate studies, and very often involved in a number of curricular and extra-curricular activities. As a matter of facts, I was up to the mark and honored in the top list of about 250 students in my undergraduate class. I did my final year thesis project on “The Relevance of Working Capital Management on bank profitability” with a group of four members in which I was made the Group Leader. In this project, I learnt the essential part in managing working capital required in maintaining its liquidity in day- to- day operations to ensure its smooth running and meeting its obligation.
While working on this project I found strong motivation in myself towards graduate study in the area of Leadership/Management. Currently, I am working as a Portfolio Analyst with TF Financial Services (TFFS); my major responsibilities include; verifying and approving all applications loaded on Third Party Reference System (TPRS), confirming and authorizing all terminations completed at the branches on TPRS as well as call-over all entries inputted on TPRS from the various branches daily just to mention a few.
Perseverance they say, is the main ingredient of success, coupled with hard work and determination. One cannot get far in life without these values especially in this challenging world. TFFS happens to be in a very competitive industry in Ghana, thus the Financial Industry. To be able to even secure a job in the industry even require one to be an extra ordinary fellow with extra ordinary skills.
Starting off as a young graduate from a typical rural area with very little opportunities to explore, I found myself in the middle of people I considered to be fortunate and well exposed. At this point, I knew it wasn’t going to be like a walk in a park. I had to work extra hard and stay focused to be able to discharge my duties diligently at work.
After working for a couple of months, I got myself enrolled in a Banking and Finance course just so I will be abreast with the nitty-gritty’s of the industry. The result is evident in the laurels I chalked within the shortest period: I moved from a Client Service Officer to a Portfolio Analyst. Seriously hard work is a prerequisite for success.

My Personality:
In fact, I am socially active person with friendly nature, a good communicator who is blessed with a few good friends. I keep a profound view to the reality of life thus approach people with positive mind and attitude and always prove to be helpful with honest efforts and true dedication. Besides that, I am always delighted and feel fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different backgrounds and cultures as meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial in future whilst making things easy to cope with regardless where one finds him/her self.
Reasons to study in South Korea:
“Why South Korea?” then becomes the ultimate question. Well, surfing the internet, watching news, analyzing and observing the people of South Korea, I am really impressed by the way these individuals have proved themselves to be dedicated to their work and with true efforts they have set South Korea as a successful example for other or developed countries.
Its fast growing economy, technological advancement and the global ranking educational institutions of South Korea with high reputation makes a great aspiration to the students for the better career perspectives. As a result of such kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further and I am highly satisfied with the decision I have taken.
Besides, Korea’s diverse cultural norms and values, the tender hospitality of its people will undoubtedly make me feel at home; all these and many other reasons put together make South Korea an ideal place for me to do my Master’s degree.
Study Plan in South Korea:
I applied for a Master’s Degree in Global Leadership in South Korea because from my current industrial job experience, and my final year project I have come to appreciate the vast practical applications of Leadership, which caught my attention and created a thirst of knowledge in me to study my chosen course.
My carrier goal has always been to work in a field related to Finance and Leadership. As a result, I would like to gain deeper knowledge in the aforementioned fields. After completion of my master’s studies I hope to be able to take part in maximizing my country’s capacity in such fields to benefit its economy and enhance the living standards of my fellow citizens.
I believe that this Master’s Program will provide me with the chance to get to understand Leaderships antics and connects me dedicatedly to the industries, which are living examples of the art of Leadership and Finance. I hope that I can gain more experience in dealing with situations, peoples, systems and demands which will be of a great help in my future career.
In conclusion, with high hopes I believe this application will receive your favorable consideration and I will be happy to provide any additional information you may need.
