Stereotype can be defined as a conception or even a certain image with a specific meaning associated with this conception. The stereotype then acts as a common belief in that community or group which has that stereotype. All members of that community are then supposed to follow that stereotype and any deviance may lead to a serious curse. This is because, people come from different ethnic groups and backgrounds and no one group is superior to the other. Pig’s stereotype
There are many stereotypes which are associated with pigs. Stereotype is biased opinion by a particular culture, or even people. One, pigs are thought to be dirty animals and most of the communities don’t associate themselves with pigs. There is a stereotype about pigs whereby the policemen are usually called pigs. The policemen are usually called pigs. This is because their behaviors are usually related to pigs. Pigs as many say stands for patience, guts and integrity. This is where as many puts it came from. So many people like to refer it to the police since the animal sometimes can be so nasty at times. So when you break the law, those people who try to enforce the law say the policemen can be nasty to them. The pigs are said to be strong eaters of everything they come across with. So, for this case, the policemen are called pigs since they are donut eaters. This is because of their behaviors since they are said to be needy. You always find them at the roads asking for bribes. If you happen to come across them whether you are at the wrong side or not you will find yourself facing the law. They like so much collecting bribes so that they can go eat a doughnut that’s why they are usually called pigs. Their behaviors are also dirty no wonder they are called pigs. From a police officer point of view
Today there are so many racial stereotyping and prejudice. So many crimes are associated with stereotypes. There are so many effects of stereotyping on criminal sentencing. In this case, the police officer should first understand the stereotype before sentencing these criminals.Certain laws is imposed and when putting these laws, they are not supposed to affect the people stereotypes. When enforcing these laws, then, the law officer should understand the stereotypes of that person in relation to the criminal done. This is because these people have a strong culture which is different from the other group and these people culture should be respected except when the culture is meant to harm others. So when the police are enforcing these laws, it should ensure that the culture of these people is not affected. Also when enforcing the laws, they are not supposed to affect the other person who does not belief in that stereotype. For example the issue of closing all companies that sale pork product should be well analyzed. This is because not everybody beliefs that pig is a dirty animal. So the police should also look at both sides when putting these laws. Also when arresting people, the law officer should also understand the stereotype associated with the community this person comes from. This is because the stereotypes have different meaning to the people who belief in them and they should not go against them. (Fazio, 1986).
Many behaviors and motivations usually lead to either supporting or even disagreeing with these stereotypes. For example, from a policeman point of view, behaviors like ethnic believes can lead to supporting these behaviors. Its people believe on that stereotype, that the police officer when settling these disputes should understand the peoples believe and consequences which might occur when such stereotypes are not followed. (Fazio, 1986).
Attribution theory can apply in this case whereby certain people set stereotypes so that they can excuse themselves from various laws. The attribute the stereotype to their inability to perform as per the law. So in this case, the policeman should put in to consideration the effects the stereotype will have to the rest of the community.
From a person who has never been in contact with the law.
Stereotypes are biased opinions or views by a certain group of people who believe in that stereotype. Not all people believe in the same stereotype and when making these laws, they should also concentrate on those people who don’t believe in that stereotype. Many people have never been in contact with the law but certain believe and various information may lead these people to support these stereotypes. A lot of information can be got from various sources say from the internet among other sources about these stereotypes. Others are also motivated to follow those stereotypes due to the effects they have. Behaviors also concerning the stereotype may force this person who has never been in contact with the law to support this stereotype. Some of these behaviors may include not eating pigs since most of the worms are associated with pigs. (Fazio, 1986).
Vulnerability theory can apply in this case whereby this person who has never been in to contact with the law is forced to support this theory because of its effects to the rest of the community.
From a person in trouble with the law
Many people are usually faced with troubles concerning stereotypes. This is because stereotypes are biased and judgmental and those who don’t go as per the stereotype, he/she will automatically face the law. The law should then be established in a way to see that those individuals who don’t believe in that stereotype are excluded from the judgment.
Many people in trouble with the law are also forced to understand these stereotypes. This is from the information they get from them. For example is someone has been arrested because his/her behavior was not according to the stereotype, this person will then be forced to dispute this stereotype because it has put him in to problems. This can be explained in theory of stereotype vulnerability whereby the stereotype vulnerability many have drastic effects on the performance. Their subjects are forced to follow these stereotypes despite the effects they have to these people. Also this will have an effect to the whole society since not everybody accepts pigs to be a dirty animal and so many people keep pigs at their homes. (Fazio, 1986).

Many communities have their own stereotypes which is different from the other communities. For example, the Arabs have their own stereotype about pigs. They belief the pig is a dirty animal and should not be associated with it. So when someone eats pork, then he/she gets a curse. Law officers when setting laws should also ensure that they don’t affect the people’s culture not unless that belief is thought to be harmful to the rest of the communities. Also when arresting people, they should consider their stereotypes first.
