Psychological theories are used to better help us to interpret as well as explain social behaviors which are usually focused on a certain phenomenon such as, an individual behavior, group’s behavior, societal influence, love etc. This paper seeks to go into an in depth look at the ‘The Black Swan’ movie from an analytic perspective, in hopes of highlighting the key psychological issues associated with the main characters, as well as the identifying the problem/s that are associated with their behavior. The movie which is centered on a New York Dance company deals with several psychological issues which are vivid throughout the movie. The paper will also bring to light the concept of the movie and the issues that the main characters associates with; as well as the psychological concepts that will be used to discuss the main characters and their behaviors.
