The third renewable resource is Hydroelectric energy. Hydropower, generated mainly from hydroelectric dams, is a clean, renewable, non-emitting source of energy that provides low-cost electricity and helps reduce carbon emissions. This form uses the gravitational potential of elevated water that was lifted from the oceans by sunlight.
It is not strictly speaking renewable since all reservoirs eventually fill up and require very expensive excavation to become useful again. At this time, most of the available locations for hydroelectric dams are already used in the developed world. Water power offers a number of advantages to the communities that they serve. Some of the benefits that hydropower has over other methods of providing energy. Hydropower is fueled by water, so it’s a clean fuel source, that’s mean we don’t need to burn fossil fuels to make the power.
