Joanne Rowling, often referred to as J.K. Rowling, greatly influences the art of literature and filmmaking to this day. Her books, the Harry Potter series, continue to baffle anyone willing to pick up the books. Even as a girl in primary school, at the small school St Michael’s Church of England School, the love of writing burned bright in the heart of Miss Rowling. From a young age, she utilized her talent for storytelling; she took a specific interest in witchcraft and wizardry when realizing her tales in acts of role playing and dress-up games. These influences as a young child poured into her amazing works as an adult. After marriage, birth, and separation, Joanne seized the sudden opportunity to write for a living, her childhood dream. With a sleeping child in a stroller by her side in a coffee shop, Joanne wrote the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Once a publishing company took interest, she immediately delved into the next escapade that would create her second book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Her dedication and planning skills astonish the many Harry Potter fans across the world. Her significant contribution to world literacy portrays not only her amazing works, but also how one can create something great, even if there isn’t material goods within reach. With enough heart, anything is possible!
