Event organisers are people that are employed to plan and organise events of various kinds, from industry exhibitions, academic conferences, business seminars and careers fairs, to product launches, gigs, film festivals, fashion shows and charity fundraising events and Depending upon the company or organisation, the type and the size of an event can vary. Organisers are primarily employed by events management companies. Event organisers tend to work with a range of clients across the public sector, private sector and third sector so must have good social and communicative skills. However, some event organisers may work in-office for large multinational corporations, while others can work on a freelance basis. Organisers are likely to take on a vast range of responsibilities to make sure that the events they organise are the best they can possibly be so they must have good organisational and time management skills. Running an Event can be a difficult task which can be influenced by a multitude of factors. Whether it’s a small scale or a major event, the process followed to plan and manage the event will directly influence how well any possible issues are managed and ultimately how successful it will be. their aim will be to organise everything in the most efficient and cost-effective way, while still ensuring that the event is good enough.
