These people are jugglers, and this system of numbers, called Siteswap, is what they use to execute their dazzling manipulations of physics and sheer skill. The road of a juggler is an arduous one, which requires enormous amounts of dedication and determination. Although many people view it as nothing more than a circus act, juggling is a great technical sport and performing art because it is a good way to build confidence and to set and achieve goals.As a juggler myself, I have noticed a number of common misconceptions any spectator always seems to mention whenever I juggle in front of them. Number one, it does not magically get more difficult when a person juggles something on fire. The flaming props are being thrown in an identical pattern at the exact same height as if they were not on fire. Regardless if objects are in flames or not, the difficulty remains the same. Number two, juggling chainsaws is not a sign of skill but rather just an obnoxious means of flashy showmanship. Number three, jugglers juggle clubs, not bowling pins. Bowling pins are cumbersome, heavy objects that serve a juggler about as much use as a golf club does to a tennis player. And finally number four, just because I juggle does not mean I am going to quit school, join the circus, and perform for the rest of my life.
