Characters, Theories and Principles of George Orwell’s Novel 1984 Essay

Through out the course of history there have been several events that have been a pivotal point which has molded the behaviors and thoughts of this century. A lot of notable activist and authors wrote stories and speeches about how they believed that this day and time would be like. A lot of these views were very accurate surprisingly. In the novel 1984 author George Orwell gives his vision on how he believed that the countries would be like if they kept going the way they were.This report will give you a brief rundown of the characters, theories and principles of this novel along with some of my personal insight of the novel.1984 was written as a warning to the western countries about having a totalitarianism government which is refers to a system of government in which lawfully electes representatives maintain the integrity of a nation state whose citizens, while granted the right to vote, have little to no participation in the decision-making process of the government. The author felt like these countries were not able to find tactics to withstand the communism that was being taken placed. When the book was written in 1949 the Cold War had not yet broke out, and most people supported the diplomacy with the democratic communism. The author found the cruelty that was committed in the communist countries very disturbing, and the technologies that were used to help these countries control the citizens intriguing. This book tells how a complete government controlled country could be. We have sublimal messages that subconciously set things into our minds. We have televisions that can montor our behaviors and microphones everwhere. Just like the book a lot of technologies are used for evil like guns for example. Technologies are so depended on theses days that most of society would not beable to fuction without it. In the political stand point of this book. And totalrism sounds like this would be absolute hell. If this were to happen now in the United States of America I believe that the party would not last long. Because of the way were are wired by the teachings of the mordern day America citizens would form a revolt and completely demolish the party.
