Biology the germination process such as clean

Biology Rationale Seed germination is important fundamental to the growth and development of seeds. Seed germination occurs when the acidic seed coat gets in contact with water which takes away the acidic coat and allows the embryo in the seed with some moisture. Once that process has completed the plant cells inside the seed start to duplicated, enzymes start getting activated and nourishment. After two days the enzyme eventually, the growing plant bursts open through the seed coat in search of sunlight. With the correct environment and care the enzyme starts growing more to start its own process of photosynthesis. Once the seed coat falls off, the root starts growing downwards to anchor the seed and to search for more food and nutrients from the soil. Meanwhile, the enzyme also starts growing upwards towards the light and soon see small leaves growing.

But there can be many types of environmental hazards to the germination that can leave some significant affects towards the germination process such as clean water for a moist environment , oxygen, lightfor some seeds, not all, ideal temperature and nutrients and minerals from the soil according to Wenartikels,June 2012.Research questionDoes (Basic) pH 9 works better at developing germination than (acidic) pH 5?Original Experiment 1. Wash your hands 2. Cut the paper towels into round circles and put them in the Petri dishes3.

Moisten the pieces of paper towels with water 4. Wipe off excess water5. Place one paper round into the bottom of the petri dish6.

Using tweezers put 20 seeds onto the paper towels7. Place the Covers securely on the Petri dishes8. Place 20 seeds on every one of the Petri dishes 9.

Then store the Petri dishes were not disturbed for 24 to 48 hours at a normal temperatureReference: https://staff.concord.org/~btinker/GL/web/seeds/english/Word%20Work%20File%20L_562521610Modifications to the methodologyThe experiment was originally about testing the temperature conditions and whether the temperature conditions affected the dormancy and germination of the wheat seeds. In the different temperature conditions broke dormancy. We modified the experiment to base it over the level to 5 to 9 with 6 trails each pH and 20 seeds in each petri dish.

We decided to leave the seed to germinate with the different types of pH substances for about 2 days before collecting the data. As you can see, we had to change and redirect the experiment to be focused onto PH which leads to some changes to the original method such not needing a hot surface, putting different pH substances of 5 ml of each petri dish for 3xsame pH.Safety and ethical considerationsHandle Risks-The tweezers are sharp and are made out of made metal which can harm people around the person if not handled with care -Handle pH carefully and be cautious around your surroundings or could accidentally spill some acidic or basic chemical on your body which can cause some burns and rashes. -Be careful around glass hardware so else you can get some serious cuts which can lead to infection or a bad reactionEnvironmental Risks-Wind can push and make the Petri dishes cold which effects the seed germination-In hot weather, it could hot the seeds have an effect on germination
