Agatha Christie the author of the mystery novel And Then There Were None used foreshadowing. She used both external and internal conflict to portray the theme a person guilt can be the cause of their death. Her dream was to become a mystery writer who story lines were peculiar to reader.

Agatha Christie was born from Frederick Alvah miller and Clarissa Margaret Boehmer on September 15, 1890. She was raised in the southern coastal town of Torquay England. Her father was a stockbroker and her mother stayed home to educate her. Her birth name was Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller. She grew up in an upper-middle class family. She wrote about this class in most of her books. She had two other siblings Louis and Margaret. Louis joined the army and Margaret got married after their father past away (“Christie Agatha” 176; Merriman; “How she wrote”).Christie was educated privately at home by her parents and tutors. She later went on to study music in Paris France. Her mother hopes that one day she would become a famous opera singer. She was unable to get over her stage fright. One of her hobbies was buying houses and decorating them. She would live in the house for a short time and sell and move on to another one. She loves to travel the world. She and her mother travel the Middle East after she graduated. Most of her writing inspiration came from trips she took to new places and adventure she went on (“Christie Agatha”; Kunitz 280).
