Caribbean music is filled with joyful island melodies and new innovative instruments composed by the people of the Caribbean to interpret those who live in this region. The music of the Caribbean is meant to explore the African past and upbringing in the new islands through music and rituals. Caribbean music is influenced by three cultures such as; Amerindian, African, and European. Styles like folk and classical are commonly found in this type of music. It is common to find strong percussion instruments that descend from Africa which makes it very unique. Samba, Rumba, Merengue, and Soca are related to african dancing. Therefore vigorous tones are important in Caribbean.
