To promote CSR with the help or partnership of other organizations, in order to have a greater impactActivities done by ITC Maurya to promote CSR are:E-choupal: The E-choupal is an initiative which enables the farmers of the rural areas to get connected to the formal market to access the real time weather forecast, price information and some knowledge to enhance the farm productivity, quality etc.Woman Empowerment: This programme focuses on the empowerment of the woman from the weaker section of the society with sustainable economic livelihood opportunities through financial assistance as well as skills training. And with that the women are highly motivated so as to build small savings and financial self employment.Watershed development: ITC’s Soil & Moisture Conservation Programme supports watershed development projects in water-stressed areas, developing precious water resources for agriculture, rural communities and livestock. The focus is on building, reviving and maintaining water harvesting structures as well as implementing other measures which help to reverse land degradation, provide critical irrigation and increase agricultural productivity.
Cattle Development: Cattle development programmes are being run by them to assist the cattle owners to increase the productivity of their animals and improve the milk quality. And they also provide comprehensive services such as artificial insemination, animal feed etc.Primary Education: This programme focuses on the lack of primary education to the children of the rural weaker section of the society. They are aiming to strengthen the government school network by stemming drop outs; increase in enrollments etc to put in place mutually reinforced interventions that are a support to move toward child friendly schools.FINDINDS & RECOMMENDATIONS FINDINGS:ITC Maurya is following all the measures to protect the environment from the main issues which are nowadays popping in the industry.It is the hotel under that brand or that chain of hotels which was the first one to bring the “LEED” certification to India.
They are improving their way of sustainability from year to year by updating their methods with the latest methods so that they do not left behind.It is the hotel in that particular area which promotes the CSR initiatives to the society in a very easy and straight forward method so that they do not have any problem in future.
