1.) In your opinion, what is the purpose of a Student Council in a school?The purpose of a Student Council in a school.
Is to bring happiness and motivate students to support the school and show tiger pride. Another purpose of Student Council is to make the school become more like a family and support each other and the community by going to Student Council events or fundraisers. Also to shows any concern things that are happening in the school or community. For example, Student Council in our school was selling pink shirts to raise money and awareness for breast cancer in October.

Which makes a school faculty and students stronger and united. 2.) Why do you want to be a part of Student Council at HSAD High School?I want to be apart of the HSAD Student Council.
Because I want to be apart of something that welcomes you to show your tiger pride and the Garland community by holding events or fundraisers to help them and brighten their day up. I want to be a committee that will support me to strive to become a positive role model for HSAD high school students. Hopefully, in the future, one day my dream medical school ( UT Southwestern) will see that I join Student Council in high school. Which they will gladly accept me since I join a positive committee. 3.) What specific examples of how you have shown leadership in the past year?I have shown leadership in the past year by helping my sister take care of her kids. Since she works late, which I need to help the kids with their homework, feed them, and help them get ready for bedtime.
Even though taking care of kids doesn’t seem an example of leadership. It helps you become a better leader. By becoming more patient especially with kids, be a good example and support each other. Even leaders learn from their members by observing their way of being a leader. Another example is when I volunteered to help clean White Rock Lake. I showed leadership by helping my group to find trash, showing them where to go, and putting band-aids on their cuts.
4.) In your own words define “role model”. What does it mean being a role model to you?A role model is a positive person who helps people to be a better person. By setting a good example by helping people, being respectful, and be supportive. A role model means to me, a person who makes the world a better place. By being selfless, prevent people from making bad choices or support them.
